In 2022

Founded in 2008, EuroKorten is a company located in the vicinity of Strasbourg with recognized expertise and know-how in using and marketing corten steel. An innovative material that lends itself to a wide variety of uses thanks to its specific properties, corten steel is distinguished by its inimitable aesthetics and superior resistance. For more than 10 years, EuroKorten has been accompanying projects made of this material: facade cladding, bridges, gardens, and public spaces, as well as artistic works and signage. Corten steel is more and more present in everyday life because it integrates into the environment while bringing a particular cachet.

Directed by Mr. François Nouryit, the company has experienced an important development: it is today the main wholesaler of corten steel in France through a partnership with SSAB, the only manufacturer in Europe, holder of the COR-TEN® brand license.

EuroKorten offers the guarantee of top-of-the-range corten steel and the advice of an expert in its field, which is the company's added value compared to general merchants.

The Endowment Fund in a few words...

It has the capacity to receive funds exclusively from the private sector from individuals or legal entities whose passions are in line with those of the Institut Henri Poincaré.

 

The Fund's Board of Directors was chaired by Cédric Villani from its inception until March 7, 2019, when Sylvie Benzoni took over as interim Chair. Vincent Lefieux, representing the Cercle des entreprises partenaires de l'IHP on the Board of Directors, was elected President on May 29, 2019.
Through the Endowment Fund, companies and individuals can support the projects carried out by IHP by making financial, in-kind or skill-based contributions.

Eligible for corporate or income tax reductions, these contributions complement state and local funding of IHP projects.

 

The founding organizations of the Fund : CNRS, Sorbonne University (formerly UPMC), and three learned societies in mathematics - the Société Mathématique de France (SMF), the SMAI (Société des Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles), the SFdS (Société Française de Statistiques).
